We believe that all people should be able to post classifieds for all to see, without having to pay a lot. Think about it: you're selling an item that might take a week or two to sell -- why spend $40 or more to list it when you'll only make a bit over that!

And that's where our classifieds come in. If you list an item in the newspaper, put it on our site too. It won't cost you anything (unless it's a job posting, catalog, sales flier, or advertisement). And if we do receive money for an item -- make an offer! We'll accept almost any offers made for a paid item. Try to get that from anyplace else.

We know what some of you are thinking "you're competing with newspapers!" And our response is this: how can classifieds compete with a newspaper? Isn't their main focus supposed to be news? And we serve the planet. There's not that many newspapers who's stories reflect the planet, while still having classifieds. And if you really think about it, the majority of those people that use free online classifieds -- won't be using the newspaper anyway!

Some people use newspapers, some people use online, and others use both. It's not really competing when you have a different set of clientele. Kind of like a local phone company and a long distance one -- there's overlap, but in their primary functions they don't compete.
