Temporary Modular Building System

The temporary modular building system (TMBS) is a system and philosophy of building design wherein the final product can be anything that you want, but the pieces to get there are the same.

A TMBS structure can be built up to 15ft tall and of virtually unlimited size horizontally. For safety reasons, we recommend that larger structures be built out of connected self-contained buildings with doorways (i.e. a 40x40ft base should be 4 18x18ft buildings with 4ft pipes to connect them).

Each TMBS is sold in a kit* --each contains everything needed to build a cube with a mansard type of roof (gable roof, just flat on top). This roof style keeps the building height down, while giving a more dynamic look.

Specialized building systems can be ordered for things such as foodservice sales, retail sales, outside LAN parties, or just for greenhouses!

Specialized buildings do increase the cost for the system for obvious reasons. Foodservice requires power, enclosed areas, hot and cold running water, easy-to-clean surfaces, etc. Retail sales can be done through our normal kit, but may cost more if needing power, building sides, or just racks made from the building material. LAN parties would require power. And greenhouses would have plastic film, trays, heating elements and a range of other items.

All specialized buildings are custom-designed to minimize costs, while making sure everything will fit with room to spare. Of course, we’re more than willing to just supply the parts, and let your imagination run wild with your projects!

The standard kit provides the fittings and pipes to create an approximate “12x12ft” sized base, about 12ft tall to the center mansard roof top. Half kits would create an 6x6, and a double kit would create an 12x24.

While the TMBS is designed to be temporary (i.e. taken down at the end of the day/week/season), they can be made more permanent.

TMBS Pricing

While the TMBS can be used as a tent, the actual purpose of the kits is to create a temporary building. While interchangeable, there are times a tent would better serve a person’s need – both for cost and setup times. Our TMBS can be setup as a tent-only as well in under 15 minutes.

Foodservice add-on will require a truck and/or trailer to transport all related items. The actual TMBS for this item is really a fully-enclosed building that can be dismantled and reassembled. Please contact us for actual quotes, since the foodservice add-on is a completely customized (and locale-dependant) for actual requirements.
